so I'm at least one step in the right direction. I need Nav, phone/iPod, and the Mrs would like DVD with ext monitor out for a visor monitor. What should I look for spec wise and what are things I should avoid? Coming from Jindabyne I've never needed more than a Tomtom style nav. I don't need anything fancy with subs, a bunch of speakers, crossovers etc just music, maps, and hands free. If the Mrs can watch DVDs on a long trip that a bonus but not essential. I'm not after models as everything here in Japan is different just an idea of what's good and what's bad.
