also to add to Arith's post,
if you tyres are 1 directional its better rotating the tyres using a tyre guy where they they off the tyre of the rim and put on opposite corner or other side. You'll get better wear rather than just changing front to back, back to front.

highly recommend the Yokohama S Drive, unbelievable in the rain, I feel invincible sometimes. I was first told about them when my friend sat in someones EVO 9 flying around corners at 160KM/h in the rain.
Then I heard during the Yokohama track day it started raining and guys with the S Drives were easily outforming the Bridgestone S03 (higher performance tyre than RE050A) cars they also brought along.

Also recommend the Bridgeston Adrenalin. I'm subscribed to a 100+ thread post on Ozhonda, and ppl rave about it.

I got new Potenza Adrenalin's ..they are awesome..only drove them yesterday but in the wet alone they seem better. Very happy with choice

i have Nexen N3000. Very impressed with them in the wet and the dry.
Size is 215/35/18
Bob Jane T-Marts at erina gets me these for $185 per corner

I paid $340 per tyre for 225/40/R18 from K-Mart (yes I know K-Mart). They were local, easy to deal with and did the job.

Thanks. I found the grip really good, much better IMO than the Dunlops I previously had. I did only drive it yesterday so it was only in the wet so can't yet really comment on dry grip or noise. It appears ride comfort is a little harder but then again it might have been because the previous set wern't fully inflated? (not sure)...minor difference anyway.

I really need to drive the car a little further to get the full feel...like this Saturday as I attend a Wakefield Parkway driver training day as part of the WRX org. :mrgreen:

woah thats sounds quite cheap!?
The best price I got quoted for 225/40/18's was $300 a corner! They were GT radials... are these any good??

I ordered my 225/45r18 Falken F452's today for $250 a corner from Tuggeranong Tyrepower. Happy with the deal, second best price I got quoted on the same tyre was Bob Jane for $295

Any of you guys who fit or 225/40/18's or 225/45/18's... I'd love to see some pics on the forum if you feel inclined. I'd be curious to see if they look like they bulge too much compared to the stock 215/45/18's.

That's not a list of the best tyres by any means..

I have those and I'm impressed at the performance and wear for the price (I did not buy them, they came with the car, easily as good as my dunlops (I did buy these). Both feel good both wet and dry, dunlops are a little louder if anything..

TBH Road Legal Semi-slick is where it's at!!
