I'm planning on shipping everything Wednesday, and confirming addresses before I ship. READ THIS POST.
How does it go? All packages go the same class of Canada postal service, Small Packet International Air. Keep your eyes on the mailbox is how it will arrive.
More information about this service here
http://www.canadapost.ca/tools/pg/manual/PGsmpack-e.aspThe address
must be postal serviceable address for delivery. Keep that in mind when I'm confirming addresses.
What happens next? I will soon be PM'ing each parcel recipient (
bold and underlined on PAID wall), showing an address EXACTLY as it will appear on the shipping label. If you see something wrong in the PM with what I am showing you, now would be a good time to correct it!
WAIT for me to PM you first, over the next day or two.
Then what do I do? If you're a
solo shipment, RSVP to my PM is
optional to confirm address.
If I don't hear back with any address corrections, that's where I will be sending it.
If you want to change the address to a place of business, or where you feel more assured or reliable receipt of the package is possible... you're free to tell me where you want it to go.
Multi-people groupings (where more than one person's stuff is being sent in one envelope), RSVP from the ring leader is
mandatory. I will not ship combined packages until I get a confirmation PM back
from the addressee that the address shown in my PM is correct.
Again, WAIT for me to PM you first, over the next day or two.
How long will it take? Delivery times standards are documented here
http://www.canadapost.ca/tools/pg/manual/pgservstds-e.asp#1963481 (see section 5.3)
Cutting to the point, they say it takes 6 to 10
business days (Mon-Fri. minus holidays).
That's "2 weeks" but I find this often stretches a few days more.
Tracking? Not for this class of service. It would cost each parcel another $35 or so just for tracking comfort, but would not speed up delivery.
If items don't arrive I always make things right. Do not worry about that.
Cheers,
Scott
