i'm posting here firstly to say.... DAMN YOU ALL.
Car: 04 pre facelift 3.0 with the 5 auto.
I bought this 2 years ago with 180k on the clock for 11,000. Mechanically great, done only long kms, the engine was smooth and the oil looked clean.
Then the power steering died, the breaks failed and all of the door servos went. Oh well... was going to fix the car and sell it on to find something more oddball.... BUT.
Since joining this forum, firstly to look for answers to questions, and lurk in the background absorbing the epic knowledge i have been bitten by a bug.
So i've ordered a corazon grille (pre facelift for a 3.0, thanks forum)
A K&N filter ( that i won't use the oil on, and do a resonectomy, thanks forum)
Replacement motors to do a DIY fix of the door actuators (thanks forum)
A double din head unit replacement for my model (thanks forum)
So with all of the help i've already received by purely lurking behind the scenes in the short time i have joined i thought it only polite to say hi and curse you all for inflicting me with a new addiction
Plans:
Calling genie today to sort out extractors and a more powerful system (not so interested in super noise)
Definitely want an STi lip or ultrex if my wallet becomes suddenly empty as a nice accompaniment to the grille
Maybe side and rear spats colour matched and thinking about a nice subtly boot lip
Lowering springs (coilovers not necessary atm)
Some 18" boots (could be pushed for 19)
Nice dark tint
if there's someone reliable i would love a tune, and maybe sort out a gearbox overhaul to accept a bit more powa!
