this is my first attempt at capturing the Milky Way.
13sec, ISO 6400, f/2.8, 24mm - has a bit of distortion on the edges... not sure what cased this, possibly due to rotation of the earth. any help?

I don't know that it rotates that much in 13 seconds? Most lenses will distort around the edges under long exposure won't they?

the distortion isn't affected by time as far as I'm aware. the only reason i can think is that I'm using D600 full frame with a fixed 24mm...

Quick question, what do you guys use to do HDR's? I have Lightroom and Photoshop, do I need a plug in, a separate program or can I do it with LR or PS?

Here are some shots I did of a friends car in his driveway (lol) this week. Any feedback? All is welcome, even if it's brutal :D
I know they are dramatically over edited, I have a nasty habit of doing that, plus that is the look he wanted.
I had some lens flaring in the first pic which I actually really liked once I had the pic on the computer.

HDR is already on PS.
File>Automate>HDR
but don't use it cause its gayyyyyy

nice photos.
the 1st and 3rd photos, all your editing is really obvious and detracts from the car. all your brush work is way too heavy.

cheers chris!

So if the PS option is gay, what do I use?

Cheers for the feedback. Definitely need to tone down the editing...

no i mean any HDR is gay haha. sorry i have a personal hate for HDR.

and so i found out its because i have a full frame camera with a lens designed for crop sensor cameras. apparently distortion increases with a lower f-stop
