well I cant comment on what its like with just the rear done only. One thing you might want to do if you get the adjustable versions is set your front bar to soft and have the rear on hard. That way the car won't induce oversteer. I am finding the car can get twitchy if you tug on the wheel a bit too eagerly with both bars on hard. So minor corrections are required. I am assuming with the front set to soft, it will still turn better than stock but will allow you to exit a corner with a bit more compliance to your movements rather than an all out feeling like you are about to do a 360. I must say though that it's not excessive oversteer, just that with stock ride height you can feel it more. Had I lowered the car, it would be less prevalent.

Interesting, I have my rear set on hard so when I do put the front on I'll put it on soft and see how it goes.

No unfortunately I dont have the bilsteins. In saying that I originally wanted a Spec B and wasnt able to find one, but had the intention of changing the suspension to Spec B standards, but the more I drive the car now, the more I like my right quality the way it is. I know there are benefits to the shocks/springs etc, but I'm a bit past hard suspension. Maybe its the old man in me I dunno. I tend to take a lot of family out in the car and I know a stiffer/harder ride would be some what uncomfortable in comparison. I drove a Spec b and this car and I could tell the difference in ride quality. A sacrifice in some handling yes, but worth it if I get to cruise around without kidney pain. haha.

Would love the Spec B front bar though. Always liked them but found it rare to find them. Im at a point now that I need to respray the front bar to get rid of a few chips. If I find a spec B bar or similar I'll be very tempted to spray and fit it. Let me know if you know of any up for sale.

Thanks for the comments

It could also be coz of the GT/mesh grill adding some added 'sexuality' to the car too. As a combination it works well.

I like it that the honeycomb grille..is one its own in the gt bumper..as in without the foggie surrounds that we have in the specB's...if that makes sense?

just adds to the curved look around the foggies on the gt bumper..idk. i just like that combi :D

Yeah that makes sense. Its surprising to know what kind of difference a small thing like this can make to the overall visual dynamics of a car.

ok, just to update, I went for the Falken Azenis FK453 tires in a 225/40R18 from Bob Jane. Paid $235 per tire (yes I know it a lot of coin), got wheel alignment done for free and that price included RAA discount of $5 off per tire. Standard free tire check/align after 5000km, then get the tires checked every 10,000km after that. The dude reckons if I keep up with the maintenance on the tires I should see over 50,000km from the set which I didn't think was too bad.

I know its a bit too early to report back findings at the moment. Ive only done 20km in them and in the wet. But from initial reports, the ride is smooth, noticeably reduced road noise compared to my old Kumho KU21's, handling feels flatter around round abouts and corner's at moderate speed, but that could be the wheel alignment improving things. (I havent had a wheel align for 20,000km due to slackness).

The tires look wider on the rim. Not stupidly, but you can tell there is more rubber there to the point that the extra side wall could protect the rim from some gutter rash. Its not bulgy by any mean's just a bit more noticeable meat.

Hey guys, Im looking to get these silicone hoses very shortly.

http://www.avoturbo.com/index.php?optio ... &Itemid=26

In particular, both the throttle body and the turbo to TMIC hose with adapter. Any pro's and con's of this product and this mod in general?

Why am I doing this? I'm still trying to sort out a boost issue with the stock hoses. Had them tightened 2-3 months back and it improved the way it drove for a while but now its back, and Im thinking the stock hoses are split or just not sealing properly. Yes, I have had my car tuned and it is running higher boost.

Throttle body hose purchased from AVO directly.

Should be here next week. Will fit it when I get the car serviced in a few weeks.
