To clarify, disabling/removing the pump does not remove the ECU logic. It still assumes it is there and does its cold start thing. Turning off a CEL code does not disable the actual program

Find the table and/or ECU logic and you are on a winner

For example, your factory VVL RPM switch points are in your ECU... just because you cannot see it does not mean it is not there

Here is my latest LV. Fixed the fuel consumption display. Thanks to Matt for the table ID. I actually had C1850 and the actual was C1854, for those interested.

Pretty sure I have now found the Speedo Calibration Table so 100kph on dash = 100kph road speed etc

Any update on the speedo correction tables.

Got a cel this arvo on the freeway doing 2500 rpm in an 80 zone specifically, so I'd better log it and forward to Eric.
I've noticed the Lib has been running a few AFR points higher recently. Otherwise all good. Any comment?

If it was just related to a difference in rolling diameter value wouldn't a bit of math sort it out?
I'm guessing there is more to it than that if it isn't possible?

It is a hexadecimal value, not a simple excel =sum(x*y) equation unfortunately. Is a subroutine near the fuel economy meter fix that I need to find.

The CEL is rear O2 sensor related. Can either disable its influence on emissions or disable the CEL.

With nearly a -5% in D range, I would say 0.7 AFR leaner than notmal?

so I borrowed BBB's OP2.0 on the weekend, hoping to get Learning View up and running but unfortunately i've gone into a brick wall. from what i can tell, i've followed the instructions on installing ECUflash and Romraider to the tee including latest definitions on both ECUflash and Romraider XML's. also made sure i had the latest update from Java.

I can confirm that reading the ROM on ECUflash was successful and I have saved a copy on my laptop. However it has not recognised the ECU ID. My ECU ID is 3C54784106.

I have a 2004 Liberty GT MT MY05 which looks like it is supposed to be supported under Romraider Supported ECUs (A2WD002T)

So when I try to open Learning view and connect, it says that "ECU ID 3C54784106 cannot be found... ECU is not supported"

I've had a look into Romraider's ecu_defs.xml file and note that the ROM ID A2WD002T has a very similar ECU ID being 3C54784206.

I have also been able to modify Romraider's ecu_defs.xml file to recognise my ECU ID as A2WD002T which allows me to load the ROM on Romraider successfully however still doesn't help me with Learning View since there are no definitions directory.

I have been able to use ECUedit's Logger and Romraiders Logger and can pull parameters so it seems like that is working.

I am currently using LV v1.0 RC3. Windows Vista 32-bit SP2
I've noticed that when I connect the OP2.0 and USB to laptop I can't see any COMS or serial ports in the drop down list, I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but LV does manage to read my ECU ID fine.

I guess the easiest way would be to request that my ECU ID be added to the supported ECU list so it can be recognised however it has got me thinking if there a possibility for an ECU ID to be modified and reflashed or something?

Correct, no Learning View Support for that ECU ID so it is not software issue. I know ECU ID: A2WD012T and A2WD010T is supported and are both a factory Software update.

The 10 digit hex value can be changed with a Hex Editor if you want LV support but sometimes, it is easier to upgrade the ROM to a later version

I called Subaru @ Docklands to enquire about the update.

They said that it doesn't appear that my car had any scheduled ECU upgrades. He mentioned that the 06/07 Tuned by STI's had an ECU update but that was it. Anybody else know if there is actually an update and the guy at Subaru might've missed?

So it looks like the only thing that will enable me to use LV is if I edit the hex codes to recognise the ECU ID. I'm assuming that this method will require me to re-write my ROM which i'm a little hesitant in doing.

Otherwise, is there anything in Logger that I can utilise that will give me similar feedback that you could get from LV?
