Pretty sure the outlet of the kompact bov can be turned to match the angle ot the stock pipe perfectly. Just turn it with your hand

Hey, (young, dont know much) if someone crashes in to you, do you still need to pay YOUR excess?!

No, hopefully they have insurance and their company will then pay for everything. Just hope they have insurance or it's court time.

Not true.

If you can identify the other party, and you have your own insurance, it's up to your insurer to chase the other party for costs. Whether or not they're insured isn't your problem - that's why you pay your premium every year.

You only have to pay an excess if you're at fault, or you can't identify the at-fault driver.

The top outlet yes, but the main one appears to be part of a single piece of metal along with the mounting flange. I'll confirm shortly. :)

Yes I mean the main outlet turns. First time I fitted mine, I didn't know it turned, and it was a bit tricky to stretch the hose. Now it sits perfectly, with no hose stretch.

Not true how? Maybe not detailed enough, but certainly is true

If there is a dispute when one person has no cover, it will almost always end up in court. Just because your insurance company will be doing most of the talking, doesn't always mean it won't affect you. Additional reports and witness accounts may be required. Photos are therefore very handy.

I do like your explanation better though, it certainly has more detail :)

Its decided.... after setting off 3 car alarms while driving near parked cars in the past 2 days that I need to make my exhaust quiter. I was only cruising at 1750rpm and it still sets off alarms. :?
MSR recomnends replacing the hot dog with a muffler. Has anyone tried this?

I know me and jaydecee have mid mufflers. I have mine to get rid of drone. Justin's is bigger than mine, maybe quietens it down even more...cost me $170 to install mine, no loss of power as it's a straight through one...if the noise is that bad, try to get the biggest mid muffler you can find, so you don't fall short.

I've got very small rear mufflers, pretty loud, no car alarms though? That's crazy man! Maybe it's your music? :P

Haha no loud music in my car!
Good to know it works then. For that price im definitely doing it!!
Thanks for the advice man!

P.s. I wouldnt say my exhaust is that loud, its just really deep and rumbly like a wrx. Wouldnt mind it being more subtle though.

I got MSR to replace my hotdog with a mid muffler (X force stainless) about a week ago.
Its taken all my off boost drone away which was caused by the equal length headers.
I didn't to get a retune either.
The car now sounds close to stock with no extra lag or power loss.
I'm happy :D

Thats excellent news peter!!
Does the muffler vibrate on the under body at all? I imagine it would be hard to fit a muffler under there.

No vibration at all.
Mick fitted it up in and welded it into place within about 15 minutes.
It's so much better now the drone has gone.

I had my car in an underground car park today and the flouro lights really showed up the surface scratches in my paint that i mentioned a while ago.. i took a couple of pics to show you guys... its all over the bonnet and roof at least.. im quite sure they'd be on the side too but i need a hand held flouro to see it. I really think the previous owner used to wash the car with sand paper

I have a paint correction/detail booked in for next month... fingers crossed they can get it all out.

The paint correction/detail is costing me $300. Thats for the best they can do basically.. im sure they wont be able to make it perfect, but theyll get very close.

New turbo, 3 port and tune happening in 5 weeks. MSR was booked solid until then.

Have some new slotted rotors arriving today or tomorrow, but could be a few weeks before my new pads arrive.. desperately need the new brake set up.. my pads are running VERY low!!

Got my car back from the panel beaters last week too.. new front bar finally after the douche hit and ran my car.. the paint match is flawless! Im really happy with that panel beater, id recommend to anyone.
