I believe there is at least one medically confirmed case of someone actually being cured of AIDS.

But we digress...

Agree with you on a GT3 but not a 911 turbo PDK.
Once you have driven one, you willl know why.

I've driven more than one. I like clutches that aren't computer controlled.

Fair enough. I really love dual clutch gearboxes for the extra performance they give.

It looks like Porsche are killing off the manual gearbox all together.
The new 911 GT3 is only available with the PDK transmission which is a real shame.
I don't think it will be too long until the manual gearbox goes the way of the dodo.

The new Carrera (S, 4 & 4S) has a 7 speed manual, the 911 turbo & GT3 don't..

I'd have a Carrera every day of the week

I'd rather change gears myself (with a manual clutch) and be slightly slower. I feel it is still the more fun option.

Have you driven a decent automated dual-clutch equipped car? I'm not knocking what you're saying, but just wondering if you've actually experienced both sides of the manual/DSG argument - I used to think the same thing, but some experience in a car with a well set up DSG gearbox changed my mind (particularly when you take flappy-paddles into account) - you really get to focus on the driving, rather than the gear changes...
