KiDo Racing Brake Kits are manufactured in Taiwan to a race proven design. Attention to detail and careful selection of materials ensure optimal performance under all conditions. Each kit is taylored to suit a specific model of car and comes complete with all hardware required to fit the kit. You will need to supply your own tools and DOT4 or better brake fluid. The manufacturing plant is ISO 9001 certified for quality assurance, and all Brake Kits purchased through KiDo in Australia are covered by a 6 month warranty on calipers and 3 months on rotors.

FITTING:

Most Rotors are a 2 piece design, being an T6061 aluminium hat (car specific) and a cast iron alloy rotor which is Kit specific. The rotors vary in thickness from 18mm solid (1 piece) for some rear brake kits with internal drum hand brakes, up to 32 mm ventilated for the larger front brake kits.

Rotors are available in the following sizes:

Rear: 285mm between 18 and 26mm thickness (depends on application)
302mm between 18 and 26mm thickness (depends on application)
325mm between 18 and 26mm thickness (depends on application)

Front: 285mm 23mm thickness (Mini 6 Pot Caliper requires 15” wheel)
Front: 300mm 24mm thickness (Mini 6 Pot Caliper requires 16” wheel)
Front: 325mm 25mm thickness (Mini 6 Pot Caliper requires 17” wheel)
Front: 330mm 32mm thickness (Mid 6 Pot, Big 6 Pot & 8 Pot Caliper requires 17” wheel)
Front: 356mm 32mm thickness (Mid 6 Pot, Big 6 Pot & 8 PotCaliper requires 18” wheel)
Front: 380mm 32mm thickness ( Big 6 Pot & 8 Pot Caliper requires 19” wheel)

The Calipers are billet T6061 aluminium precision machined to tight tolerances. Calipers come in 5 sizes and some are available in different widths to suit different rotor thicknesses. These calipers accept AP racing style pads.

Sizes: 4 Pot (used for rear brakes, rotor sizes from 285 to 330mm)
Mini 6 Pot (front and rear kits, rotor sizes from 285 to 330mm)
Mid 6 Pot (front kits, rotor sizes from 330 to 356mm)
Big 6 Pot (front kits, rotor sizes from 330 to 380mm)
8 Pot (front kits, rotor sizes from 330 to 380mm)

What brake pads do come included with these? They look very similar in design to the D2/k-sport gear from Taiwan? Are these the same just re-branded?

Is their service kits available for these in case anything goes wrong with them after the 6 month warranty? Also is it possible to replace just the rotors separately after they wear?

The pads are an AP Racing design so you can choose any of a vast range to suit your requirements. The supplied pads are a general purpose pad with a typical operating temperature range between 0 and 600 degrees C. These are mainly for street use but will also handle a track day. You may wish to change the pads if you are going for more serious use.

Rotors are available in pairs without hats for replacement. Service kits are available for the pistons.

I don't know where D2 or K-Sport source their gear or if they are the same or different.

Would you need or recommend adjusting the brake bias when installing upgraded brake kits? Particularly for those going for larger fronts and stock rears
Or is that something that's built into the ABS

I'm pretty sure you need a second MBC to allow for separate bias adjustment for F/R.

Could I get a qout from you for a full set (front & rear)
I have MY07 Legacy 3.0R and currently running STi brembo with dba 4000 rotors.

I'm thinking of getting 8 pot front and 4 pot rear with the smallest rotors that I can use. I have rota G-Force 18X8.5 +48.

I will let Bryce know you left a message but I can say that the 8 piston calipers with a 356mm rotor would be an excellent upgrade.

There is also a new caliper finish available: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =1&theater
