Here is my Dyno Pic

The very first run the car made 325nm of torque. So i gained some 90nm at 3100rpm..... that i can feel.!!! Power wasnt increased too much as the poor VF46 is at its limit.!!! BIG TURBO TIME!!!! hahahaha

As for the tune


WOW.... I cant not be happier . This thing really hoots along now . But the best part of the tune is not how fast it goes ( which is important ) but how WELL it drives. Im finding that the car is ALOT more complacent to putt putt along and cruise in light throttle through to medium throttle and full WOT.

The car was tuned before i got it and i got it tuned a little while ago by Matt at Kido and even that change was great. But the car had never been on a dyno in my possession and now that it has i can see why you pay for it.

The car now drives like i believe it should from the factory with V8 beating torque down low that just pulls all the way. It does start to die off due to the poor little VF46 choking up top, but i have spoken to the tuner about going a 3 port boost solenoid and i believe that will control the boost even better and he agree's.

So here's a VERY BIG THANKYOU to PVS Performance Tuning at parramatta. Tyler is on the wrx forums so some of you forum hoar's might know him from there as he has his own WRX racecar that will be going to Time Attack this year. Tyler is more then happy to help with any questions and is a really nice guy to boot.

So once again. Thanks for making me fall in love with my car all over again.

For those who have been reading the head gasket issues in the 2.5t thread.... Here's my NEW story.


Who needs a head gasket issue ? Not me

When you can have a broken piston ring or valve guide or a turbo that's shitting itself.

Yep that's right.!!! Car is NOT happy.

Great news tho, my coolant system is spot on It just was low in coolant and had a nice big air lock in it. We bled it for ages.

That's when we noticed the fact that my car smokes like a fucking chimney after sitting idle for a while. We had it idling to do a few heat cycles to make sure the air was out of the system. Gave it a rev ( little ) and boy did she smoke up!!

Then when I left it blew blue smoke for the next 10 min.... Yey to me!!

So I'm going back next Wednesday to do a compression test as I ran out of time. ( where' s the bend over and getting fucked smilie??)

He said at best the turbo is on its way out..... At best!!! But seems to think a compression test will show one or more pistons low on compression .
