Best silicone inlet kit to buy ?

Postby Newbie GT » Sat Jun 08, 2013 7:53 pm

Easy to fit ?

Does this require a lot of time ?

I hear benefits are good ! Is there any walk throughs?

Been looking at the Kobe ones

You will definitely find the answers to your questions in other previous posts.

From all accounts I've seen though these seem to be one of the most frustrating things to install.

Nah this is one of those parts you don't want to install unless you've done it before... heard so many horror stories!

Watch this video http://youtu.be/o6ji8Pe0h2A it's just a time lapse but you'll get an idea of how much work is involved.

No worries....

Also that is an STI manifold, a lot less room than our plastic manifold...

Hey

Which part is needed for the benefit of the turbo spool etc

Is it the sfb from air box to unsure where it goes?

Then there is another part of silicone hose which is longer ?

Anyone have a picture of where how these look / sit in engine bay?

Cheers

Here's one I prepared earlier.

It's the silicone turbo inlet which improves spool time (apparently)

So the one you labeled looks good isn't nessecary?

And the other one is under the cover which goes to turbo ?

Over time, apparently they original plastic ones develop cracks.
Mine was fine, but replaced it anyway for some subtle engine bling 8)

Yes, under the cover, and under the manifold....that's why it's a PITA to install.

Avo is a good buy too and don't forget a throttle body hose too.
