interior gen 4 parts: handbrake, black trims rear right door

Postby Brunsy3.0 » Wed Apr 10, 2013 10:44 pm

Hey All

looking for some quite random parts but hoping for the best (after a "professional" audio install was done quite a lot of interior parts were damaged)

Image

both of these scratched bits

Image

scratched handbrake (the handbrake can be removed by a few bolts if memory serves and uncoupling the handbrake cable, I do not need handbrake boot though)

thanks in advance

Brunsy

Are you after the trim that goes all the way along the door?

I got the hand brake padding

yeah looking for both trims as in the picture, don't need the round locating piece

just the trim at the bottom of the pic that does run right along the door

and the other trim that goes from the middle door pillar to the back seat as seen in the picture they are both scratched, I had these pieces heat treated to try to remove the scratches but now the colour has faded dramatically aswell as the scratches remaining

with the handbrake piece are you talking about the actual handbrake handle or the handbrake boot?

I would be demanding replacement parts from the installer. Any decent installer will go through the interior with you and document any Existing damage to make sure everyone knows what condition the interior is in before any trim is removed.

haha yeah as you said "decent" installer, from what i thought was a professional company turned out to be pretty shonky, i have been personally fixing the problems for about 18months due to time constraints, have only one more thing to go and i have basically done the full install myself, not a real happy camper but i dont really want anything to do with them anytime soon whether it be nicely or confrontational

Handbrake handle, has small mark possibly from a thumbnail, rear door scuff trim (one with silver bit) looks in good nick. Get you some pics tomorrow if you like. Coming off GTB sedan with 86000 clicks.
