Cheers - you caught the indirect reference to your good work? :P

I'm still searching for an upgrade to these rims, but I think its going to have to be custom 3 piece items for megabucks....

Or possibly Enkei RSM9's the "son of" the RS+M. Oh in black with the diamond cut lip.

This page needs pics!

Configuring the AEM 30-4900 Failsafe Gauge.
You can see that lean AFR's are not allowed under boost.
Rich AFR's can be avoided under vacuum...
And overboost can be "fused" or cut where the red and green lines meet.

So what happens when the alarm is triggered?
I'm taking the easy way out, install-wise, by connecting the failsafe wire to the ECU-side test mode connector.
The test mode connector runs from the ECU to a connector, the other end is basically a ground.
So by connecting the failsafe wire to the to the ECU-side test mode connector, when the alarm trips, the dash should light up, the fans will cycle, and wastegate pressure will be activated.

It can happen if test fitting possible But this town aint big enuff for 2 sets of those... :P

Checking out the last revision for a while... till some other part of the inlet or exhaust is ahhh... refined...
Gotta look at the MPH formula, pretty sure I wasnt doing 30MPH just then :?:

This is 3rd S#, I'm learning to "hear" when I'm approaching the limiter, rough guess "E"... or eeeeeehhhhhhEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Looking at the logs, the boost is very tied to the acc pedal

This AEM 30-4900 boost/AFR plot is after about 2 hours of suburban taxi rides for the kids, with one 3rd gear pull and a short freeway run for good measure.
Still on the third tune revision, post AVCS fix.
This is somewhat of a different approach to what AEM recommend: long 3rd and 4th gear pulls, so I might have to find a suitable road somewhere to do that, or... a dyno?
The next thing I need to nut out is how long to set the alarm delay, since this plot is probably full of transient conditions that can be disregarded.
Still, a useful baseline for further tweaking and aiding my understanding.

Here I've tweaked the upper and lower limits, ready for testing: bringing up the lower, rich limit, and reducing the lean limit at AFR12/16PSI...
The general idea is to tighten up the limits as much as possible so that the failsafe/alarm is triggered should something go "wrong".
For testing, I'll temporarily set the Alarm Reset time to e.g. 5 minutes, so I don't need to watch the laptop constantly to spot an event.

So the next step is to find a safe road to do the third and fourth gear pulls.
Plain of Imaroo?
Reset the limits. Log the pulls on the AEM. Compare plots. Work out how long the transient pressure events last and set the limits and alarm delay to suit.

From the AEM 30-4900 instruction manual:
3. Run the engine as you would normally drive the vehicle then complete a series of long sweeping high rd th
load 3 and 4 gear pulls going from low to high RPM each time to populate the graph with AFR data. Avoid making quick hard pulls as this may skew the AFR data points. Repeat this procedure until a baseline AFR curve is established. Note: You may notice that a few random AFR data points are plotted well outside of the normal AFR curve. This is caused by dynamic tip-in wall wetting in transient pressure situations. This is normal behavior and false triggers can be ignored in the configuration setup process.
