Here's an example of a 'well executed' black car that I'm happy with.

How long was the star trail exposure?

Tonight I am going to be doing some shots in an industrial area (at request) of a light metallic blue colour.
It has some background light (street lights/security lights from buildings) but will also be pretty dark.
Would you suggest a long exposure or trying to run a higher ISO?
To make sure I don't have a over exposed long exposure, obviously ISO would be as low as I can go (100) and a shorter time (5-15 seconds) is what I would do?
Also, dumb question (I am VERY new to this lol) AE lock - on or off?
Thanks again guys

Still hate working with dark cars, and I've been doing this for years.
I half bought the S4 thinking I was going to practice with black.

I've noticed though, whenever I try to have my lights on when I do long exposures, it obviously flares ridiculously. How do you stop that?
