Compatible Front Grills

Postby Pyr0m4n14c44 » Mon Apr 01, 2013 3:27 pm

I have been trying to get my hands on an '02 model grill for my 2000 Liberty, because i like the look of them and I want to be able to switch between the two when the mood suits me :), but I have been looking all over the place to find the answer to my question. I hope you guys can help me out :)
But can a '02 grill fit into a 2000 model? Coz I have looked only at pictures and it seems the grill shape and bonnet are very similar, and I would like to buy the grill with the assurance it will fit...I am not sure if anyone else has done this before...seems to be an odd thing to do huh? But I like the '02 grill and would be interesting to see what the car looks like afterwards.

Thank you guys for help :)
Andrew.

Sequential twins are fun, nothing like letting your guard down then getting a swift kick in the arse at high revs.

Mesh grilles are cool and all, but I am not too handy when it comes to making panel work for anything :p and I kinda am wanting to take a shortcut and get an 02 grill (If it fits) and make the car a bit more official and not shabby by my handiwork :p. I also would like to interchange with the two grilles when I feel like another look temporarily and able to keep the old grill for originality of the car. Thanks for the tip bud :D
Does anyone know if the grill mounts under the hood and the shape of the grill between the two 3gen models are the same so I can change my current grill for the 02 model?
Thanks everyone for your help :)

That is very disappointing :(
I'm glad I double checked that it fits or not, because seeing all over ebay and similar places saying grilles for '99 -'03 and they are both different shapes? Ah well thanks Jack for your help, love your car :)
