Fog light removal

Postby J0HNATH0N » Tue Mar 05, 2013 9:57 am

Hi guys

Any tips on taking the fog lights out? Access through inside of wheel arch? Or can you remove from front?

Thanks in advance

You access them from underneath. Each side has a splash guard that is held in with plastic pop clips, remove them and pull the splash guards down. That should expose some bolts that hold the fog light in. The 3.0 front bar may be different to the GT/NA model but the fog light is removed from the front once the bolts are undone

+1 to what Sean said... GT/NA front is no different to 3.0 fronts as its only the bumper. I know coz I converted my front to a 3.0! haha! :D and also made a custom air feed from removing the foglight on the weekend.
Below car has been gone for quite some time now... blew bottom end bearing and dealership screwed me! Now driving 2008 WRX with ~65k kms on the clock. Only has cat back exhaust and tune by KiDo at the moment! More to come... but slowly!

Purchased recently (12/11/2013), already with: Stage 2 Pedders lowered springs, rear Whiteline sway bar, Advan Racing TCII 18x8 wheels, k&N pod filter, custom 3" exhaust system from turbo back with Magnaflow mufflers. ECUTEK tune of some sort (hopefully soon to be fixed)..... now FIXED!! Now KiDo Tuned!
Added: HID kit, EZ lip equivalents to the front and sides, and various LED treatments, oem boot spoiler, [LGT WRC] plates, GFB Respons BOV for extra Pssscchhh! --> Gone... I couldn't afford it's heart transplant... but keep a look out, as it will come back on sale soon!

I have a 07 model and the passenger side is broken and needs to be changed out. Can you only buy genuine or is there a after market/second hand units you can get from somewhere? Cheers

You might be lucky enough to pick one up second hand. Try Sunspares in QLD, eBay? I doubt you could buy aftermarket
