It can drop below 0.3.

0.3 is significant in a stock map as that's the point it switches to the failsafe fueling table.

Both cars do have the same ECU id so Alexis map can technically run on Ben's without any changes.

But let's not get too excited they are not the exact same car.

It could be a whole range of things that may have gone wrong which are not tune related. Perhaps a faulty knock sensor?

did it have that much knock correction on previous tunes? if it didnt then i wouldnt think a knock sensor, though, it would be a good idea to check it out

Car feels normal, back on erics tune just to be safe, no knock no weird noises, car responds just fine.

All fluids are up to level, always use shell v power. Drove car home lv is clean. If my engine was about to blow it would show up on any tune.

Edit: on erics tune it had -4.20 flkc in one box. Knock always appears. During logging it's clean, but then a week later knock appears for no reason out of nowhere. So either a foreign object or knock sensor or bad engine

I don't know mate, the file I loaded off my ecu after the dyno was either corrupt or meant for another ecu...

So the only thing I have is a really weird map on which my car wouldn't even work. Hoping matt will send me a copy so we can check

Take care with those corrupt roms - never ever key off until you are given the command by Ecuflash :-)

LOL at kaihatsu :D

And GB - we don't know the tune is the problem yet. Could be anything at this stage, although all unlikely theories so far. Workshop will tell. Anyone know a good mechanic who's free next week? :P

Just drove 40kms while logging the car, and called the mechanic.

0 knock, good afrs, iam is 1.0. Car drives fine, fuel economy slightly better on this tune.

Mechanic said that they found the car was good, so good that they would not even suggest a compression test, because that level of problems would've shown up by now in more than one way.

Anyway car's booked in for compression test just to be sure. Will change knock sensor. Good advice is welcome :)

Well u might need a comp test now after that lv....I had one done on mine when it had its issues. Danny loaded a known tune he had so maybe Justin's to see how it reacted and it still had the same issues so it pointed at mechanical..

Drove over 100km on old TP tune, varying driving - in peak hour, freeway cruise, spirited and floored it a couple times (when I saw it was safe). So who still thinks my engine is faulty?

The FLKC range you had the -4.2 in was the same rpm and load zones though

If that is the same TP tune that you had issues with and made you try Matt again, nothing will be different. Your car isn't going to magically run better on the same old tune that had problems. Drive it for longer and do some actual logs with it to make sure.

I never wanted to leave my TP tune kieran, I don't know where you heard that? It was great and I logged the car for 1.5weeks, 30min to an hour every day of logging and car runs great - check out the maf scaling and my knock LV. 150kms in all driving conditions except heavy rain and car looks great.

The only reason I went to matt was because he offered me a free dyno to fix the issues he couldn't fix before. So I agreed. I thought it'd help him clear his rep on here? I don't know what to think anymore

As for the 4.20 knock on the tp tune, it was only in one load range...and the knock ears on the dyno were clean so until I go to cihan or msr I'm happy with erics tune. The knock shouldn't be piston knock. I'm taking the car in to get a full check done on the 27th but nothing points to a major mechanical problem.

And logging the car was the fist thing I did and sent 30 mins worth of clean logs to eric.

Not sure why you would post implying im stupid and hoping for magic, but I can assure you my problems really appeared on the dyno tune not on TP tune. Not saying it's the tune but the evidence so far, if you read my posts properly again, points to one thing.

Matt I've asked you for a copy of the tune twice now, day after the dyno (the 6th) and yesterday and today is the 15th - still waiting mate? What I pulled off my ecu is corrupt for some reason...
