WTBorrow Guard/Fender Roller (SYD)

Postby SH30RB » Mon Feb 11, 2013 9:20 pm

as the title reads, does anyone have a roller I could borrow?

Looking to do my wheel arches, but feel like being a stingey prick and not pay someone over $100 to do the front ones!
plus, i'd like to give it a go myself 8)

Lol Nelson from Sydney guard rolling charged me $130 for the fronts... I'm a tight ass but I figured it's a cheaper option than me wrecking my guards myself lol :D. He comes to wherever you are too :)

I know it's expensive, but he was actually the cheapest of 3 I was suggested on here! One guy wanted to charge me $70 a corner plus $60 call out fee....

If I was in Melbourne I would have come seen you mark haha :)

Hi i am a guard roller from Gumtree located in Sydney Liverpool and have worked on many Subaru's from Libertys - Wrx

Please be careful when rolling the fronts as too much pressure from the Guard tool can warp/ripple or flex your guards and you could be easily down a couple hundred bucks if not shown or done right.

PM me if you need advice or if you want me to work on it. I carry a special tool for the front guards as the metal gauge thickness of the fronts are much different from the rears. The Guard tool works perfect for the rears but not on the fronts.

I have seen too many DIY guard rolling jobs gone wrong on the Libertys so I am here to provide advice and help.

Cheers
John

Hey guys,

Sorry for the delay, i've finally got the guard roller in my hands after a bit of tit for tat between myself and the shipping company.

As its Easter, I made plans for this weekend a while back but i'll be good to go as of the 5th (Next weekend!)

-unknown-sss thanks for the heads up mate :)
I've gotten some pretty helpful hints from a mate of mine down the coast who does guard rolling as a job, but if I do need any help, ill be sure to send a PM you're way!
