What is this hole?

Hey all

I was working under the H6 the other day and i noticed a hole that im not sure whether a bung should be in its place or what the go with it is, if anybody knows or could shed some light on the subject it would be highly appreciated and put my mind at ease

Looks like a welsh plug to me.

Have the same one.Dropz thinks there should be a welsh plug but I tried to find the part with the parts interpreter at Subaru and he couldn't find it.

i was just curious while i was down under the car and noticed it, looked a bit out of place but now that i have a bit of light shon on the matter it seems to make sense, cheers ay

I thought it was the source of my oil leak.Did you have any oil around the hole?

nah nothing, was just slightly concerned

its always good to have peace of mind especially when ill be driving over 1000km this long wkend

Tell tale hole for the waterpump by the looks of it

Shouldn't be leaking anything
