Where do I start?!!

Postby OldNick » Sat Jan 26, 2013 12:11 am

My notebook has
- change timezone\
_ I _think_ the clock has been set to link with GPS, ut there is a map of Australia showing NSW, and out clock is 2 hours out...so AEST without DS adjust
- improve GPS guidance.
- I hope the timezone will help, because it's simply AWFUL for WA. Our first trip with GPS was a joke. Worst I have seen. And the most stubborn in spite of the fact that we were blatantly ignoring it
- cancel GPS guidance once path has bee asked for.
- use an mp3/usb player

So there ya go. I am lost

Well maybe you could read the items.

What did I do wrong? n You should see it from my side.
clock and I can't change it. I am told that it can be linked to GPS. I am told that I can`alter it by pushing the + and minus - I did that and nothing happened. So I ASSUME that because I can't alter it, it is tied into GPS time....from there we proceed to the fact that when i look at GSP stuff there is am map of Australia, with NSW in green 9WHICH IS 2 HOURS OUT W/O DST. So THEN I assume that the fact that i can't alter the clock means it is tied in with GPS and I see a green NSW and here we are out by the time zone (2 HOURS)Bso I ASSUME THAT I NEED TO CHANGE THAT MAP SO I AM IN WA TIMEZONE TO FIX THE CLOCK.

this is how I have been left feeling. If none of you guys feel able to understand my total confusion then I am sorry. I have a clock that is EXACTLY 2 hours out. That is EXACTLY EST WO dst. The map shows NSW . So. I want to adjust my clock to AWST, because it seesm tied to a GPS time that is AEST.. if I can't get that then how do I disconnect from GPS time AND SET THE CLOCK BY HAND?

So Im realise that my question was complex. this is just about the clock.

I WANT TO SET THE CLOCK RIGHT. THE +- B-UTTONS WON'T WORK. please help me.

Nick have you had a look in the owners manual? Should be a section about the sat nav.

If you idiots spent as much time trying to read and understand as you seem to, to picking and sniping, we might somewhere and this forum would be a more useful place..

You sound very worked up mate. You need to take a step back (or 10) and re-think this.

I honestly thought you were a spam bot from your original post, it made very little sense.

So in short, you want to change the 'time' that is displayed on your dash, but something (GPS that's built into satnav perhaps) is stopping you from over-riding it?

As above, state what year the car is, and have a skim through the owners manual as it may have some details in there. Otherwise maybe your local Subaru dealer may be able to sort it out.

Here this will make more sense...

- 使用MP3/USB播放器

因此,有亚去。我迷路了

Do you really expect help when you just attack the people who have just taken their time to try and understand the jiberish you put forward??

From what I can gather your car is set to Nsw time but you want to change the time zone to WA correct?

Your owners manual should detail how to do that. Or just go through the settings menu on your GPS unit.
