J that list reads like a club lib wet dream!!!

Well done man some awesome mods listed there. Glad to see someone else go the whole hog on a build.

1.5xtr will be on boost even sooner than your stock vf38 man. I would definitely look at a nigger turbs

The auto will be fine - get one of Matt's tunes and it will lock up. Worst case get the clutch packs beefed up and don't stuff around with some piss ant expectations like 220 atw. Add 100 to that and it'd be more believable.

Good luck man

Mick

Thanks Mick!

1.5xtr is the run in turbo......bwahahhhh!! :D
I'm certain I'll be able to move it on

I'd love to keep it auto but 8000 or 8500rpm changes will probably kill it....

If you still have all the manual gearbox n such we may need to sort something out.....

Hi Allan,

It sounds damn fine at higher rpm, love it, makes a little noise under 3k but not unpleasant, barely audible when cruising, it's begging me for a manual box though.
All CBE pics are still on phone, i'm just effing lazy, too busy at work at the moment.

Other things are happening, heads n oil pump are going east to mr Knight, modded water pump coming, bigger intake valves are getting sourced, sleeves going in, close decking too.
Other special coating before machining are being done, intake pipe, process west fuel system and process west intercooler coming.

It's a lot of bits, nothing together yet but Neil Evans is now at MMS. As he is a class builder, I'm in good hands.

Gonna run in on dyno, whole start up process as described to me is involved but very safe.

If it goes like his other builds I'll be happy camper

Probably not the fastest, but fast yeah.

Gonna have to go 6speed manual at same time too, bugger, when you are in this deep you might as well keep going...hahah

For those contemplating the auto to manual conversion, pm me with any questions as I researched the crap out of this for mine then ended up deciding to stay auto

Good luck jay

On the subject of the turbo running out of puff: Take a look at "xluben's" channel on you tube. Basically an ej255 with CP's running a 20g xt-r. This is essentially the same turbo you have (it is the same as mine) running a 68mm comp wheel rather than the 71 your 1.5 dom has. Watch the boost gauge in his pulls, it seems to be able to hold 25 psi until redline, though it does taper back from 27psi. Also, JacksGTB is running a 2.5 with an 8cm rear housing and it seem to not choke down.
I was all set to go with a rotated 3076 or even a 35r, but I am thinking that the smaller blouch unit will be more fun to drive. Fingers crossed it can hold a decent boost level.
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.
