That depends entirely the oil, the car and how it's used. As a blanket statement, it's false.
I had a quick search and couldn't find a single SN Resource Conserving oil that I'd suggest anyone try in a high hp E85 Liberty. Given the rating is more about fuel economy in standard engines, I can't see that changing.
Again, I got great test results from Amsoil 5W30 Series 3000 HDD when using E85. I was tempted to use it in the Yaris, but it's a bit heavy. Still got a few bottles in my garage if anyone wants to buy it!
For the higher hp engines, Redline 0W40 would be worth a try. I'm not a Redline fan, but the specs are good.
At the track, perhaps it might be worth using either GB's 15W50 Motul or the Amsoil Dominator 15W50, but I'd not use them in a daily driven car that I intended to keep.
(They both have similar startup viscosity to the Delvac, but shit on it for high stress protection. Of course they are probably twice the price too)
That's about all I can contribute. You'll need to test your oil in your own engine to find out any more. Oil discussions tend to make the topics of religion and politics look tame and generally are even less informed, so I'll leave the debate to you guys.
