Gotta listen to your Mum...

Hopefully people will get interested and I've already helped a few guys out clearing CELs or advising what's wrong with their cars.

Well Jun I don't mind if you blow another motor and blow more money. Your car, your tuner, your call..
And with regards efficieny I'm currently getting about 450kms to the warning light driving in peak hour traffic most days. The day I got the 8.1 L/100 kms I took my Mum down to Phillip Island so I wasn't going to do anything silly. On a couple of occasions I accelerated a bit hard she wasn't impressed.

You must be Kido tuned  as I know of a supercharged H6 on P100 that's getting 450kms to the warning light and he's no slouch when it comes to driving.

You must like sooty exhaust tips and rear bumpers...

i feel there are lots of shit tunes out there.... people that learn a bit about the subject see how crap they are.... subaru ecu are different to other ecu and this makes it harder for most tuners to understand. hell i was told to get and aftermarket ecu as it was the only way to tune mine....

Well I'm back from a lovely 2100km round trip to see Mick at MSR to get my car sorted.

I'm completely satisfied with the whole experience. :D

Mick knows his stuff and his advice and help both before, during and following the tune were second to none. :D

The guy knows his stuff and the more I dig, the more I find people who've made the trip up from Melbourne to see him with very satisfying results.

So for me I'm done tuning and modding for a little while. I don't think I can add anymore bolt on bits to the car.

The car is back on Premium 98 fuel and I got over 700kms on the trip back before the low fuel light came on. I refilled at Wangaratta for 57 litres.

On the dyno my tune was finalised at a very safe 203kws with boost at 18psi.

Mick also spent a bit of time with me setting DBW settings to cater for my peak hour commute in S and S# was also well set for a fang without being ridiculous. Just like I like it.

I do have a similar issue to Ben with the AVCS LH cam diagnosed by Mick. He's fully explained the cause, symptoms and fix. I've been sent a link with the part I need to buy and will get this installed on my next service which requires my timing belt replaced. A thicker oil can help mask and reduce early onset of this condition so I too will be joining the Delvac club.

Will also be using Cromwood Auto Service for all future servicing.

Will post a graph up when I'm back at work and get is scanned etc, in 2 weeks.

I did ask Mick specifically about oil on behalf of Justin and the rest of the guys I speak with, who wanted specific confirmation of specs.

Interestingly, he told me of a recent chat with Phil Lowe and oil came up and they discovered they both use and recommended the same for their engines.

I also confirmed it can be used on all our stock motors too with a change interval of 5000kms.

So when 2 guys with such great reps and knowledge both agree on the same thing, I reckon it's time to take notice. :D

Thanks G for setting me straight so many times, it's not funny.

But you know me. I like to waste money before I listen...
