Well that would be well over 700km's, A/C was on all day, two people in the car, 100kg worth of luggage.
I think if you had a nice uninterrupted drive, 800km's would be achievable (on fumes as you roll into the station lol)

I don't believe the distance to empty... Push it out to dead empty if ya want mine might get 600 too...!!! Still not 800 shit my distance till empty was saying around that figure the other day.
The point I'm trying to make is Matt seems to make claims and never backs them up, with any hard evidence

I'd also like to know why some people get awesome fuel Econ and sum don't?

Well your distance to empty is wrong because of the injectors right?
I find the distance to empty to be accurate for my car with stock injectors.

I know why it's wrong... Ipw is smaller due to bigger injectors

64 litre tank, 8.51L/100km average = 750km from the tank, obviously no1 empties it that much, but you'd still crack 700 with ease :)

Mine has wheel spin.

How old are your tyres Kieran?

Given how little you drive I wouldn't be surprised if they are the originals..

Great timing Brandon, I had a shit as day at work where I drove out to Bairnsdale and back seeing 8 clients along the way. 80% highway and 20% stop start rubbish (yoghurt spill at Moe plus appointments)

I knew Matt had been under scrutiny of late so thought I'd show my economy to both him and you all.

Seems pointless comparing a 160-165kw stockish car Vs a 290-295kw car with crap loads more mods....

Was by no means comparing, Justin. Simply showing proof of a claim Brandon asked to see backed up (obviously I don't represent all cars, but it's one example)

The stock Liberty GT has an extra urban fuel consumption of 8.9l per 100kms. Will confirm this as I'm relying on my memory.

So really nothing special.

I recently got my self tuned car to do 8.1l per 100kms at the pump on Premium 100 which uses about 3-4% more. And my car required a heap more work due to the ID1000s and Cobb intake.

And I'm not a tuner but have had to learn just about everything through this experience.

Might start my own tuning business. ThrottleUnhappy.

Well the proof Brandon was after was from what Matt originally post? "I have customers getting 800+ with mods (big turbos keeping them stoich on cruise)"

Not having a go at you? but you don't fit that description of "big turbo"... and what is a big turbo? VF52?

Either way...this is not the right thread to be posting the above information...hi jacking the thread if you will... 8)

I hadn't seen that post, just the one I originally quoted, I do apologise.
But I'm bored of this discussion anyway, and you're right, it's probably not the right thread although this thread hasn't so much been about learning views as it has Matt in pages. Back on topic?

Where the fk did my post go?!

Anyway lets try keep this on topic fellas maybe let's start a new thread for tuning comparisons and feedback

Justin bigger turbo = less backpressure, lower egt, greater volumetric efficiency and therefore better economy all things being equal. Although we all know people with bigger turbos aren't going to keep the status quo for "all things being equal" ;)

I believe Matt is a good tuner but has made some mistakes. He does spread himself thin but tries to do his bit. We're human. And I'd like to think he will do the right thing and try to correct any errors. But you can't always blame the tune everytime something goes wrong. Anyway I'll give my full thoughts in the other thread I might create.
