by spirited, I mean changing at nearly 6000rpm on 1st and 2nd, and doing that a few times that week. As you do, right? Now, even after being warmed up and driven for a while, the car idles around 1500-2000rpm when the aircon is on. Super annoying, and probably not helping my economy either.
Not sure if I'm describing this correctly... but when our cars idling with the aircon on under normal circumstances, revs might jump by 2-300rpm every so often under the load. It should drop back to normal revs after a few seconds though. Now with the aircon on, the car idles at 1k rpm if I'm lucky, and jumps to almost 2000 rpm, sitting there for a few seconds. It repeats this cycle a few times a minute.
As you all can appreciate given Sydney's weather this weekend, it's been immensely annoying.
Steps taken to rectify the issue: nothing except filling a tank of BP Ultimate (98RON) and then unplugging/plugging the battery terminal. Thought I'd try that just in case the computer learned something wrong from the upper engine cleaner additive.
Any clues?
