After being knock ears free of knock on the dyno with massive intercooler heatsoak(which caused low boost on the dyno but high boost on the street), I am surprised it had FLKC but I assume at low rpm. The Throttle Tip In Enrichment was since your injectors are 80% larger and we had such a massive nose dive of AFR's on tip in. Would only need 55% of the pulsewidth to get the same fuel flow as stock injectors which is why fuel economy is so quick to go out the window on throttle tip in and throws AF Correction into a mess as it goes too rich and then too lean.
That timing fix does work on a stock airbox or when MAF scaling is sorted under 80g/sec
Either way, I hope your happy with the day to day driveability of the car and have your MAF scaled in for the intake
Well I reckon that removal of timing to fix the popping on gear change was not right. It was put in after the final dyno run and think ultimately responsible for the issues with the tune. In hindsight the changes should have been made and then run on the dyno to verify they were fine. I simply trusted you, and your explanation. All FLKC was in those low load ranges. I also logged FBKC in the order of -4.22 to confirm things weren't quite right. And as mentioned previously IAM had dropped so it was on a downward spiral. I do not have a stock air box which you were aware of, and should have been considered. But it was hectic with still 2 tunes to be completed that night and it was 9:00pm or thereabouts.
With regards tip in enrichment the initial value in the stock ROM is 0.200 my initial setting was .08. There is no 55% setting between stock and my scaled injectors across the tip in settings. And these setting were far different from the other 12 odd revisions I've had of this tune. I've returned the stock throttle tip in enrichment and the car does tip in a little too much and then swing lean for a second but feels safer than accelerating from the lights seeing my wideband go leaner than 20 AFR and buck. I'll look at it again and scale it appropriately through logging and minor adjustments till its right.
With regards our contact arrangements I decided to use email on this occassion as I forwarded you the LV and tune for you to check. I've previously tried SMSing you and not had a response either so that's no guarantee either. You know your stuff Matt, now your customer service department needs to catch up.
I'm getting the car retuned on a dyno early in the new year as a hybrid tune between 2 tuners is never going to work long term..
