I raised the original thread that discused oil and disasters (sticky in the 3.0/3.6 section)

This next one will be of same importance if my long term observation/experience with the problem and its solution proves true in the next week or 3

So how about a distraction

The freakin CV boots on both front shafts have gone crapola in a single event spreading grease around as they do!

Oh well, nothing to do but fix em

The Raptor Liberty is finally back in the game

After a case of frangipanni-itis (where car contacts frangipanni tree) car has been in for some new panels and professional care of the local panel shop

All back on the road again just yesterday after a couple of months of .............. nothing

Glad to hear it's back in 1 piece Tim. Having just got my Foz back on the road after 7 weeks I know what it's like to not be able to drive your favorite Subie.

Yes, great to have car back on road, was a bit tight using the Hilux for everything.

I gather you had a big mods update to yours or ........?

I wish. I had a problem with the chassis which took a while to get sorted.

Nothing too new here just at the moment

As of 10 mins ago the Lib copped a fresh change of Magnatec Oil

No other real changes - CV boots to be changed on front and still getting around to installing the shifter bush kit

Updated the ROM - Car is now running a KiDo tune - enjoying the extra fuel econ and several other small touches that make a difference well worth talking about. Talking around 50km extra per tank

I mentioned a while ago the front CV joint boots on the Raptor car needed replacing

Well as luck would have it for once a sale came up at a major supplier and I have been able to purchase complete new drive shafts which carry a 5yr/100000km warranty for $89.00 each instead of $289.00. So, bought a left and right hand set to cure the damaged boots on the original shafts :D
