Here are some firmer plans for the upcoming cruise

Start
Meetup at 8:00am at the Lilydale McCafe (Corner of Maroondah Hwy and Deschamps Ave), for an 8:30am departure.
Alternative: Make your own way to the summit of Mt Donna Buang, and meet us there at 9:45am.

Marysville 12:35 - 1:00 (may have lunch here, or in Buxton. To be decided)
Buxton 1:15 - 1:30 (we may bypass Buxton, and go directly from Marysville to Heaalesville if we are running late.)

It will take about 50 minutes to get from there to Lilydale.

Also, I'm considering pushing all the times back 30 minutes to make it easier for those travelling a long way to the start.
(i.e. 8:00am meetup for 8:30 start)
We may have to skip the Buxton leg to avoid getting back to Healesville too late.

Just got my travel confirmed and I do not get back into to Melbourne until midday on the 21 Oct. This will be the 1st cruise I have missed in a long time!

I guess I will just have to make up for it over the November long weekend!

Just take the ring road around from Geelong Rd to Dalton Rd.
It's 30 minutes from Hoppers Crossing . http://goo.gl/maps/gJ0fT

It would be about 20 minutes quicker for you to go over the Westgate Bridge, up Hoddle St, and out the Eastern Fwy and part of Eastlink, directly to Lilydale, but then you would need a toll pass. http://goo.gl/maps/kk56j
