USA legacy equals AUS liberty??? - rims

hey guys im looking for rims for my gen 2 RX wagon and have found this really good site in america that can do rims cheap (4 enkei 18x7.5 to australia for ~$1300) but the filter is for an american legacy. im not 100% sure that this will be the same as the australian liberty even though they look exactly the same from the outside. it also doesnt specify specific offsets instead stating "HPO". I had to get rims custom cut and drilled for my skyline i owned previously so i want to be real careful with this and am looking for some advice. ill put some links in if you want to explore the site and the filters. i had it set on subaru>1997>legacy>gtwagon. As long as they are 5x100 and have the correct offset they should be fine. Perhaps find out the centre bore size also just to be sure otherwise you may have to get them machined or hubcentric rings.

By the way, you'll be hit with tax if you bought those over, items over $1,000 attract these fees/taxes.

oh rightio thanks mate... ive been trying to contact wheelfire.com via email but theyre pretty lax on pr skills even in a "quick response" specific email address. any idea on what sort of tax dollar wise that this wonderful government has decided to initiate/failed to abolish?

I got my XXR's off Next Level Motoring, and it was actually a good experience. Great communication and it ended up costing me half of what getting the wheels in Australia would. A word of warning though, pick your companies carefully. If they make a mistake of sending the wrong wheel, you've got the hundreds of dollars postage to pay just to return the wheels, plus as previously mentioned the tax, and fitment issues etc.
I'm not 100% sure, but I'd say your import tax would be between 10-20% of cost price, that's what I was charged when I imported a guitar anyway, obviously it could be more or less.

thanks kody, ill give them a look because yes, i really would like to keep my buisness within the country and taxes never really crossed my mind and they are appearing to be a bit more hassle then what they are worth.

Don't be afraid to go overseas to pursue a good price, but beware of getting ripped off.
Honestly, it would be worth the time to go to your local Goodyear and have a charro the guys there.
The blokes at the Goodyear my family use have done 5 of our cars so far, they don't car if its not exactly on the legal side (as long as you accept that) and they have never not been able to source something.
Considering tax and shipping, you may be able to get them cheaper through a place like that instead of a website.
