The grill before, the paint of the grill had been peeling from sun exposure from carparks (car always garaged) so I wet and dried it and did a quick spray pack fix until I replace it, quite happy with how it turned out.

I don't think you're nuts Kody. Nice choice. :D
Barely had it a day and already improved it.
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

Thanks mate, the progress will be slow for about a week now as ill be working extra hours so I can get these wheels fitted.
$540 roughly for tires (plus labor) $300 for guard rolling (all 4 guards) is a lot of work for me haha! Nice car by the way XD

I'm smitten with it - to me a first car is like a first child haha. Thanks for you help with the wheels as well, hopefully they will be on in the next two weeks :)

Welcome to the forums Kody!

You will love the car! Mine was my first car as well and I am still having fun driving it even if it is just a 2.0R! :D
Below car has been gone for quite some time now... blew bottom end bearing and dealership screwed me! Now driving 2008 WRX with ~65k kms on the clock. Only has cat back exhaust and tune by KiDo at the moment! More to come... but slowly!

Purchased recently (12/11/2013), already with: Stage 2 Pedders lowered springs, rear Whiteline sway bar, Advan Racing TCII 18x8 wheels, k&N pod filter, custom 3" exhaust system from turbo back with Magnaflow mufflers. ECUTEK tune of some sort (hopefully soon to be fixed)..... now FIXED!! Now KiDo Tuned!
Added: HID kit, EZ lip equivalents to the front and sides, and various LED treatments, oem boot spoiler, [LGT WRC] plates, GFB Respons BOV for extra Pssscchhh! --> Gone... I couldn't afford it's heart transplant... but keep a look out, as it will come back on sale soon!

Nice one. And good taste in mods.

I love the 530s, they are just a little to extreme size wise for me.

I also think that a single 10" is the way to go sub wise.

Exactly my thoughts. One day, I'll have that 3.0/GT XD

Thanks, the 2.0's drive really nice. Unfortunately the only one we test drove, we drove it like you would a 2.5 (ie. relying on torque, not revving hard and going easy especially as it wasn't our car) only to be told later that you need to rev them to get the best out of the motor :( I was about to put a deposit on a 2.0 (Kormoran's from here actually) when this came up at the price it did.

Thanks, I was actually shocked by the 'box. I know Suby's had a bit of a bad rep a while back for bad gearboxes but all of ours (we've got 3 here now XD) are quite nice. Probably not for track use though :)

Thanks, it should do until I decide what grille to go with. I'd love a Corazon but $400+ is a bit steep for me.
I spoke to a guy we know at Goodyear who has done all of our tires and wheels and he seems to think a 235/40/18 Firehawk (or something like that) would be the way to go. He says they will be stretched by a minuscule amount because XXR's are such weird widths but not by much. I don't really want them stretched but I'd prefer a slight stretch and no rubbing to rubbing and huge camber. I'm a bit worried about the fitment hence why I haven't bought springs or anything, and I'll save for a few weeks so that if I need the guards rolled/flared I can get it done when it needs it and not drive around scrubbing and poking ridiculously. It's only money... :)

The 530's could be a little extreme size wise for me too, but I figured I'd give them a go. I love the fitment of Starrn and whilst my isn't a post facelift I wanted that sort of fitment (but I'm trying to keep it as legal as possible) so hopefully I will get them on with some slight camber and hopefully only rear guard rolling :)
