Hey all,

I have had my car for just over a year now, proud owner of a MY02 Liberty RX. I have only really started modding my car now as money has been a bit of an issue studying and what not. But now the money is coming in the car is coming together pretty fast. Located in Croydon, Melbourne only starting getting more into the forums and keen for some more meets.

Car is coming up to its 170,000km mark, have had to replace the clutch and flywheel as it was on its way out when i brought it, there are acouple in dints and scratches around the car that i plan on fixing soon getting it back to grade A condition.

Mods done so far:
- Plastidip front bar air intake
- Plastidip side mirrors
- Plastidip wheels (I have Works Emotion XD9's on their way this week)
- HID's in low beam and fog lights
- Japan Legacy rear lights
- Red brake calipers
- eBay front lip with STI badge
- B4 bonnet (awaiting to be sprayed to color match)
- Weather guards (need fixing as my rear doors hit them when opening)
- High flow muffler with 4" tip
- Red tow hook (probably taking it off, haven't decided yet)
- Front Grille swapped to one that came with bonnet (no idea what it is but I rather it)
- Red hellahorns
- Air intake sprayed blue
- Sony XAV701bt headunit (installed thanks to Michael "mihai")
- LED white footwell lights
- LED white dome light
- LED blue cluster lights
- LED white instrument lights
- LED white door lights
- Wired in a second rear boot light
- Clear indicators

Mods to come:
- Work Emotion XD9 18x8 5x100 +35 in bronze are on their way this week
- Coilovers (haven't decided what ones to get yet)
- Roll guards
- Fix up the dints/scratches around the car
- Paint bonnet to color match
- MY03 Fog light covers
- Short shifter
- Rear window wing
- Valance side skirt kit

First pic ever :D

Welcome mate! congrats on the first car, Gen 3's look hot.

As for mods I suggest changing to clear indicator globes, plus the side indicators to clear.
For tinting if it's close to you, go to Rob Tait @ Car Tint in Ringwood, he is a vendor on this forum.
And if you do go HID's I am happy to help install them for free and also show you where to source them from if you need any help.

Nice pick up, car looks to be in great condition.

As for possible mods, may I suggest:
Front lip
Lowered springs/coilovers
Gen 4 GT 17" wheels, they look awesome on Gen 3s
Chrome indicator globes
Clear side indicators
Gen 1 Liberty headers
2.25" catback exhaust

Enjoy!

I don't know if ill do the Front lip, i have seen it done on a couple not sure if i really like it or not yet. I reckon ill do the clear lights and for the exhaust I want a really nice one. But have no idea of costs for them roughly, plus installation so when i get it all be able to get some quotes and stuff done. The wheels I really like the ones it has on atm, seen them in like a dark shade of black looks so mad. Cheers, btw nice lib man looks so nice and clean build

Really nice colour!! I think the pre facelift Spec B wheels powdercoated black (especially on that awesome blue) would look nice :good:

** UPDATE **

I have debadged it and looking real clean now, but after taking of my "Liberty RX 2.5" badge i found was attached so now I have 2 holes in the back later i will fill them in. Now for some new parts I have just ordered and upcoming mod list.

** Parts ordered **
- Ezlip ( http://ezlip.com/ )
- Clear indicator lights ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Unversal-LED-Si ... 7183053%26 )
- Club liberty stickers
- Mightcarmods stickers

Before I attach the Ezlip I am going to get the front bumper resprayed as has a couple of highway rock scratches and also get the lower center part on the front bumper sprayed a black, then also going to spray over the grill's chrome with a black.

Here is the grill redone, i went over the whole grill this time except the badge and the color match has come out a lot better than before.
The inner fog light cover i have taken of the silver to get an all black looks
Went over the number plate covers again with sand paper and resprayed as last time it was blotchy (what $2.50 can of spray gets you)
(Some pictures in the light)
