I was hoping to be posted to Sydney in october, but i found out today that my whole course is staying down here (south of melb) for another two months after we are qualified.
It turned out to be a pretty shit day...

Melbourne is a pretty good place, but I still love Sydney. They both have their pro's and con's. Sydney having better beaches and more car events, Melbourne having better sport and better pubs.

Sydney better beaches? Gold coast is some of the best surf I've seen, south coast new south wales very good also

Whats wrong with the beaches in Vic? I'd say we have way more to chose from and an amazing variety of breaks! "once in a life time storm at Bells anyone"?

Vic has great beach breaks I'd love to do a trip down there and surf bells and winkipop (even if they are on my backhand) ive never been, sleeping in my lib going beach to beach now that would be mad!
