Maxxis Tyres

Postby StealthyGTB » Wed Aug 15, 2012 1:01 pm

Just looking at some new tyres and trying to keep my budget under 1200 bucks.
I'm not track daying or really going crazy. Just want something comfy with decent performance.
Got a few quote options from Jax in this price area and the sales guy was offering up the latest Maxxis M36's as his best pick.
For $259 a corner.

Anyone run a set of maxxis on their car before?

I have had them on Moto's and Mountain bikes and they make good tyres there but never had them on a car before.

other option was a set of Dunlop SP1's for a bit more dosh.

I'm glad there was an L in cults.
You should be able to find a more better known and tested brand name tyre for the price you have set.

ninja edit! Here is a thread that i built http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=14550&p=195263&hilit=toyo#p195263

Thanks for that.
Done a bit more research and there are much better choices around.
