Hi sorry about that guys ummmm I want a wagon, would love a GT but the hubby says NO as he reckons they chew fuel ?? Can you give me insite on that ? and the only one I have seen is a 04 model in the GT that has low kms , Do the GTs have to have there belts done at 100000 kms or are they chain ?
(Ive had a "manual" Subaru Impreza RS for years ) I have no idea on what the Auto tiptronics are like and what kind of fuel consumption they get . What are they like on hilly roads as I have plenty of those around my area .
Main thing is that it has LOW kms and around the $20000 mark in very good condition as I am very fussy ...I hate scratches and small dents I didnt even park my Impreza in car parks if that gives you an idea of how fussy I am .
And I am will to travel within NSW and as far as Brisbane
Any help would be appreciated

All cars will chew fuel, if you drive the car aggressively then yes it will consume a fair bit. Why not get a Toyota prius if after fuel economy?

But if you drive sensibly you can still get good mileage from them.

haha nar my hubby loves his cars but he drives an auto every day and has his own "toy" which is manual , Just don't know much about them and thought to ask you guys , I LOVE gts and every time I see one I drool lol but if it comes down to practicality and I have to go with non turbo what would you tell me and why ?

I own a 3.0 wagon and they dont chew through the fuel as much as you would think, i dont know if there is any difference in the 2007- 2009 models but i can get 550kms out of a tank easy, and thats with putting my foot down every now and then too.

plus the 3.0 goes hard haha

Might be hard pressed to find a 2007-2009 low km GT-b or 3.0 wagon in manual for 20k. But if you find one, pounce on it. The pre face lift ones can be had for about that. 2004-2006.
They only chew fuel if you drive them in a manner that will chew the fuel. Normal driving isnt an issue. And if you get a Kido tune you will get even better economy.

Why low KM? its a gen 4 subaru. They dont change from 0 to 200,000km at all. Probably one of the best built mass production cars you can get.

I can only get below 8 on the highway and my normal combined kms never goes below 10.

In my GT-B 9.6lt/100 if I drive a bit off the freeway otherwise low 9's high 8's.

With your price tag though non-turbo.
