Yeah well after that rexnet post and other stuff......
I don't want to be involved with the other tuner.

Also Justin has convinced me more than enough to go to Springy.

Also I don't change my mind like the wind. My lack of money changes my mind as I'm a casual.

I didn't need to convince anyone? Springy does all the convincing :D

Good luck and great progress with the car

Car's looking really good Kieran. Will look even better with the Enkei's though.
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

Well I'm bored so guess I will update this. No photos unfortunately, might put some up tomorrow if I can be bothered after I wash the car. Get Bruccaayyy to take some maybe when I pick up some oil from him.

So here is what I have.

K2 Gear eyelids, took 11 weeks but I finally got them. First set was broken in transit unfortunately so PHAT had to send them back.
Subaru emblem front (still waiting on rear....bit of a mixup) that I will be painting black via Mark(cruisn) DIY guide , still undecided on gloss / pearlescent for the whole black and white theme.
Goodridge braided brake lines from Cruisn

Currently in a group buy for BC BR coils. Also going to buy some Whiteline roll centre adjustors.

Getting a tune on United 100 from Matt tomorrow night, spent a few hours today getting the car ready. Ran the tank as dry as I dared (still 40km left) then put in 10 bucks of United 100 and took it for the worlds most pointless 70km drive. Then filled the tank with United 100.
Then cleaned the MAF, HKS panel filter and did upper engine cleaner.

Big thanks to Bruucaayyyy (bass_straightener) for telling me how to do the MAF clean, also his upper engine cleaner method is way more effective than what is on the can, thanks to his mate "Sharpie".

Sorry Simmo I can only say this will work for turbo cars due to spraying in to the BOV return vacuum.
Probably still works for your car but I'm not going to tell you to do it if you know what I mean.

Anyways, for Turbo guys.
Drive the car to operating temp, 10 mins should do. Park in the driveway. Leave the car RUNNING. Take off the BOV vacuum hose (the small one  ) and spray the can directly in to the hose. Shake the can well, you basically need to stop and shake the can every 5-10 seconds anyway. Keep spraying until the can is empty, then turn the car off and leave it for 20 mins. Then turn it on and let it run a little, then give it some revs on and off for 30 seconds (4k..ish max. Will be plenty of smoke) and then take it for a drive for 10 mins to get the excess stuff out of the system.

Bruce told me the DBW will compensate for the roughness in idle and stop it from stalling, and he was right for the most part. I managed to get it to stall once. Basically you need to spray in a bit and the car will start to drop revs hard and then the DBW will pick it up, then you need to spray constantly while the DBW is compensating. If you stop for even a tiny bit the DBW will stop compensating, the car will go back to idle, then when you spray again it will stutter for a second and the DBW may or may not pick it up properly. Out of about 10 times of me stopping spraying because the cans spray is shithouse, only once did it stall.

If i am able to pull of my BOV vacuum hose... there is something seriously wrong with my car :P

I probably should do some upper engine cleaner tho

Did you apply a cotton tip to the maf sensor or just spray it?

Sounds like your car is going to be plenty kick-ass when this round of mods is done. 8)

Could you elaborate a little more on what this is...or perhaps add a photo?

Gotcha. Cheers. I want to do the same for the rear badge and do white background with black stars. Apparently, the chrome is quite hard to remove though.

I used a sandblaster to remove the chrome. Still doesn't get right in the corners so need to pick at it with a toothpick
