You can get that feeling from your current turbo with the right tune. Maybe just not to the redline.

I dont really care about when it come on full boost .But its an indication of how the car will drive. There is compressor maps that you can ask for to see if it will fit your application. For me, i want 250-300 kw atw without having to go to the extreme of cams and every bolt on bit known to man kind and have the turbo at its limit. Forgies, turbo, fuel and tune !! Done sorta. There is a saying that my mechanic said. If you want more power the turbo is what is going to make it, all the other stuff around it will make some power but you will end up spending far more money on them then just getting the right sized turbo for your needs.

it's not that simple boost addict.....especially for a 250kw - 300kw target...

From my experience.....a right / correct and safe tune will make up 20-40% of your overall performance and drive .....turbo and other misc items are supportive mods only....

you can have all the mods to a car or even the most simplest....but if your tune aint right or up to it? really doesn't matter...

and I disagree with this "If you want more power the turbo is what is going to make it" ...heaps of ppl on this forum have proven you don't need a bigger turbo to make power?.....maybe the right turbo ...yes!...maybe on a stock turbo yes!.....

I stick to my guns when I say it's all in the tune..... :)

and I'm pretty confident MSR will look after me, as a few members on here say he does a great job on the tune and advice

The key word in Boostaddicts post and missing from your list of mods is "forgies".

250kws can be achieved with about 26psi boost and a good tune.

But the downside will be a motor that will last 6-12 months with than setup.

Most people on stock internals would look to cap their power to a max 220kws and look for a turbo choice that spools early and well tuned DBW, target boost and timing tables.

I personally run a VF52 which is good enough for my car, a daily driver.

Oh and I forgot the obligatory NSW comment: Take it to Phat. :D

Hey i didnt know he was chasing 250kw atw ..... Thought it was a smaller power figure. I think a gt30r would get you there on pump but its getting towards the higher end for the turbo. And yes forgies are a must at this power.

yeah thanks heaps for the feedback guys!!!

but i dont really want forged internals, so i think ill settle for around the 220kw atw mark, like its only a weekend warrior/daily
