I have to drive auto unfortunately - I have a physical disability and had to have a medical done to get my license, and based on that they've decided I can't drive a manual (due to the clutch).

Well, in my opinion, for auto's, best to get the Kido Tune. The improvement on the shifting will blow your mind (and most manuals  )

Yeah (see list ^^ :))... I may have sent an email to them the day before I picked up the car ;)

I've told them I want to go ahead with it now I *have* the car, just waiting for them to get back to me.

Have you got a RomRaider / ECUFlash setup on a notebook, with a Tactrix cable etc and confident to read and write to the ROM? If so, then you're good to go remotely, otherwise, start reading the RomRaider site and getting setup.

Haven't set it up yet, my laptop pretty much stays in the boot after I get home from work at the moment, will do it over the weekend. I don't have a cable - don't they loan the equipment?

That said, is it worth buying the cable anyway so I have the capability of changing things later?

It is up to you, but several of us here decided to buy our own cables so we can do stuff in our own time, monitor, log and even after some time and experience, some have even gone on to do their own tuning/flashing.

Well, it'll be a few weeks off, but I'm now 'in the queue' for a KiDo tune (waiting on the tuning gear to be available) :D

I am sure you will be excited when you get you 1st DBW tune. Mine made such a radical difference to the auto behaviour. Again today, driving in peak hour traffic, I had examine the tacho to know what gear I was in when it is in auto mode. Smoooooooth and sliiiiiick.
