The vendor thought the shipping quotes were too high, they're looking for a better quote, no further details right now.... Hanging in...

Actually, no, instant is not the word to use. THREE emails one reply - I send an email about part availability and I receive a response confirming availability; send him a reply asking where to send the money....silence; finally, send him a third email asking for a quote for some items to be claimed under insurance (ie, need something quickly, please) oh, and, about that other item I ordered - I'd like to send you money....silence.

For instant gratification, contact someone who responds to your contacting them.
