Fitment is good, it is just the way the grill is designed at the top, that gap you can see is still part of the grill itself, it is an indents and stops under the bonnet.
The picture makes it look like a gap between the end of the grill and the start of the bonnet , but it isn't in reality. In person it looks fine.

Yeah it is pretty average Hamish haha. It is ok for me though I am not big into music, but if you were a genuine bass nut it would definitley not do.
I personally wouldnt buy one, the previous owner had it fitted by Subaru. I have the recipt here, it cost him $275 for the sub plus fitting.

I can help you here, the part is definitely genuine. I am not sure how much they are new as I bought it on the forum second hand.
There are two types, I have the stainless one.
J1010AG010 - Stainless
J1010AG020 - Resin
Are they part numbers???

Subaru instructions that came with it says it is the mesh type. So either stainless or resin mesh.
I'm not sure what resin mesh is, sounds like the coating though to me.
The grill comes in black or silver. The MY09 2.5i Sports came with this grill from the dealer FYI

It is available in Japan still, first is stainless (#90 metal type, eg one I have), the second 2 are resin I think.
