Rome do they allow power boosters (n2o)?

Also, do they have facilities to make any mechanical changes on the day? Pit area or something

Thanks

Mick

I'll ask but I don't see why they wouldn't, how would they know?

And yes they have a pit area to make changes.

Here is the noise test to see if you will be OK for the day:

Test 1: Maintain 5000 rpm for five seconds. Requires a reading of less than 92db when measured 5m directly in line with the exhaust tail pipe.
Test 2: From the same position, return the engine to idle rpm then flatten the accelerator to 5000 rpm for a reading of less than 95db.

Don't know?? But they said they've had modified WRX's with aftermarket exhausts that have had no problem there, it's only really the cars that are externally gated that have an issue

No they aren't, but they give you a chance to do those two tests if you think your car might be at risk of getting kicked off.

19 paid deposits! Only one more spot available for our intial group (which will possibly be increased to 24 depending on interest).

Be quick to grab the last spot!

ALSO:

I have decided that final payments (based on 20 participants) of $101 ($126 including your deposit) each are due by 1st August 2012. My reasoning here is that if someone drags the chain and then pulls out at the last second, someone is going to be out of pocket. By having a deadline of 1st August 2012, it gives other members who could potentially fill in a chance to organise themselves in time to attend the track day (and pay their share of the fee).

If anyone thinks this is unreasonable please PM me.

The only fee that needs to be paid before hand is the track hire + lap timing. So $101 if you've already paid your deposit (which you have).

Licence ($30) and helmet ($20) is paid for at the venue separately :)

Update:

We now have 20 drivers confirmed for the day. So the total price comes to $126 each, with $101 still to be paid from each of you. Any extra participants who want to confirm their position will go on the waiting list. If we get 4 extra drivers, I will consider extending total numbers to 24 which would mean total price is $105 each ($80 to be paid after your deposit has been taken into account). In this instance, I will refund $21 to anyone who has paid the full amount (no one has yet).

Does this make sense?

Also, I've started putting together everyone in groups, I was thinking groups of 5 that way we have 4 groups. If anyone would prefer to be in a group with someone else please let me know :) At this stage I'm doing it based on car performance, and trying to keep the buddies together (i.e. Nick and his friend, B4 Dave and his brother etc.).

as for extra drivers is that just a contingency if people decide a couple of weeks beforehand that they really really want to come?

and i thought groups could be constantly changed on the day? or am i thinking of something else

The extra drivers list is for a few reasons. First, if someone who is confirmed decides to pull out, someone who is readily available can take their place without a fuss. Second, I want to keep it at even numbers, and we wanted to keep the driver numbers to a minimum because it is a small track. If we get to 4 people on the waiting list, there's no reason why we can't add them as definites closer to the date, but if there's less than 4 they will just be used to fill in for anyone who might pull out.

Also, you're right about the groups we can interchange on the day, disregard my comment about that haha

If there is a group of grannies and their scooters going around, I'll be in that group.
