Ended up going through a family friend's mechanic and he made me up a custom short ram pod system for 1/3 of the price of the imported ones. I am absolutely rapt with it and will post videos and pics on my profile soon.

Once again, thanks to everyone for all your comments and tips :D

Sounds interesting.

Most interested to see where the AFM is mounted and the enclosure.

Are you going to be tuning the car shortly as a hi flow intake is known to create lean out conditions in both CL and more importantly in OL.

no, im still deciding on that because the way it is placed seems far away enough from the engine and in a nice pocket to the font right side of the engine bay. it also has the stock snorkle feeding straight into the side of the pod filter ill put up a photo on my next break in about an hour or so

Not sure about VIC rules but it's a defect without an airbox in NSW...

and the air flow meter is still mounted in the same position along the piping that mainly why i got it custom made so that the AFM would not be affected

i know with VIC, dry pod filters didnt need a box but oiled pod filters did. not sure if the laws have changed tho, my guessing is that they have
