Lookout Locations in SA

Postby Nottage969 » Tue May 29, 2012 5:04 pm

So i was wondering whether everybody could share their found lookout locations throughout the state. May or may not be trying to get some brownie points with the missus, but also i find them incredibly relaxing after a hard day at work. Fanging it through the hills and coming to rest to watch the sunset alone in my own peace and quiet... *cue faggot comments :P I can barely find a decent spot anywhere between Williamstown and Lobethal.

Anyway, "Windy Point" is the obvious one, but i'd rather not have to share the road with 30% of Commonwhore owners who go up there to see how good they can get at crashing into each other or hitting tree's. Or smoke dope in the carpark.

So share your locations, or even hidden spots (preferably don't want to catch you and your missus going at it one night though!)

There's a nice one on Uley Rd. off of One Tree Hill road on the left-hand side as you're heading down towards Elizabeth, but it's nothing too special as you're just overlooking scumville.

List:

- Half way down Uley Road, Elizabeth area
- Between Oakridge Rd and Cherry Gardens Rd
- Mt. Lofty Botanical Gardens area
- Mengler's Hill (Barossa Valley)

At the end of Kensington Road is pretty good, can see over the city all the way out to the bay.
Few too many trees in the way for good car photos unfortunately.

On a side not people should mention if there's good spots for car photos too ;)

Yeah Greenhill road is a great cruise around dusk time, as well as the far upper end of North East Rd that takes you passed the reservoir's, etc.

Thanks guys, keep them coming SA members :)

Top of Mengler's Hill overlooking the Barossa Valley. On a clear day you can see to the sea.

I drive past there most days on my way to and from work.

Cheers,
