Must've been still recovering from NYE last night when I tried to fit the Airguide... thought I'd give it one my try this eve before ringing Phats, and it worked?! Trick is to lock the bottom clips on the grill first, otherwise there isn't enough clearance with the airguide.

All good!

I'm gunna say yes to both questions, it cant hurt by forcing more air towards the intake, but power gain, probally not....

I've posted review before.... somewhere...
My fuel consumption went down. I was one of the first guinea pigs since April, Noticed progressive drop, now I'm at avg 9.4 to the 100 (but other goodies have been thrown in since...)

Just do it.

Franky, noticeable drop in fuel consumption? or just marginal?

Actually I noticed since I put the HKS Filter in, and now the airguide (last night) my consumption is between 10.2-10.4, I'm expecting that to improve as the K's build up (only done 3000k's). Previous to the above, I was getting around 11.8-12.2

UPDATE: did a run to the airport and back today, hit 8.4, and now it's settled on 8.6 around town it seems, been driving relatively gentle though (4-4.5k changes).

I was around 10.4 or 10.2 before... now 9.4. As i mentioned other mods have been in since, both increasing and decreasing consumption, but it a guideline that the guide does work.

i'll be interested on the results.....

as that's why i'll be doing as a dual upgrade once I get my car...

what would everyone suggest....drive stock for a while and then install to "feel" the difference?? or just do it!

I think what you're doing is good. Where you plan and gather everything you want to do to the car. That way when you're ready, you just pop everything in instead of having to wait for the part to be ordered and delivered.

However, I would drive the car stock for a week or two after delivery. Just so that you have a base and something to compare the changes to. Otherwise how would you ever know the mods did anything? Yes, there's the whole dyno thing on paper, but you can't measure how it 'feels' when driven. Though it's been improved on paper, the results may not be what you wanted from the mod. So it's good to have a base on what it was before compared to the afterwards.

Plus you'll appreciate the mod a bit more if it turned out to be great value for money.

It's a good cheap mod that obviously takes advantage of more air into the filter.

It terms of feeling more power, I say no, not noticeable at all.

But with all little mods added together, will surely make the car run more efficiently.

So what's the price for one of these? I'm curious now. I guess enough good (enough) reviews for me to give it a try :P
