Yeah that sounds real legal

Might not have been totally legal but fixing up what most manufactures stuff up would be nice. I would like my car to show what speed the car is doing not somewhere with 5 or so km's of actual speed. I have to test out mine one of these days. I would hope that with the inbuilt GPS it would be better but I highly doubt it.

If it's intentional it's not a stuff up.

It can be done using these units that intercept the signal to the cluster. They're all about $100 plus a bit of cutting to install, not really worth it IMO.

Went for a 40km drive this evening and when I returned home I received a LV screenshot of good mate 3rspecb's supercharged H6. Noticed he was using a much later version of LV so I upgraded and promptly went out to my car to ensure it's supported.

Here is the latest screenshot.

Well Ben, Learning View is an app that, when installed on your Windows based laptop and connected to your obdII port, will give you an idea on how your car is running. Whether it's making corrections in your timing due to bad fuel, sensors malfunctioning or any other environmental conditions. For tuned cars it gives an idea of how well parameters have been tuned so that the least if any correction is applied by the ECU. It provides an overall picture of the health of your car.

You get the software here.

I'm currently logging and checking my car frequently as I'm making minor tuning changes to get the best out of the mods I've fitted. Whilst a pro tuner will do a very good job they are constrained by how much time they can spend on each car to make it cost effective. Usually about 6 hours. From there the car leaves with as good a result as can be achieved. With all the different things you can chuck on our cars these days perfection usually can't be achieved, hence I'm going to try and take it to that next level.

It's also very satisfying and a bit addictive.

Are you coming to dyno day. You should as the guy running it I reckon knows his stuff and is happy to answer questions. I also think we've just 1 spot left. It could be yours. :)

well it needs to run windows and power up as a minimum. Also a little bit of space to install the software and the ability to connect to the internet helps. :)

In all honesty it can be pretty old. The one I'm using here is running XP SP3

Here are a sample of the power graphs. Boost has been reduced slightly now to just below 18psi, but with a good tune the car did make a high 212awkw but on this printout it produced produced 208.7 kws due to a battle with heat soak. Torque for all runs sat about the 410nm with a high or 412nm and 415nm. We ran so many power runs that it would take quite a while to sort and find the exact ones. So here's some to show ball park results and the curve and spread of power.

Enjoy!
