Next SA Cruise?

Next SA Cruise?

Postby LiamVJ » Thu Apr 19, 2012 12:00 am

Hey guys i was thinking we should get this going again. The last one was good fun, could have been better with the route that was planned.
Thinking around late May so that gives everyone a chance to organise off work etc
Anyone got any other ideas?

Sunday afternoons booked a month at least ahead normally work with the previous 4/5 cruises.

Why not make it a standing thing, like, the third Sunday of the month or something?

Just a thought.

cheers,

Can you find an interesting route to either of these locations? :)

I meant for you chaps to come and have a look. :)
I'll be staying in Lyndoch, so roughly in between them.

Sunday 20th may is what I was planning the next one for. Have started a route already :).

But we should do another one to meet up with Ric and support him.
Do another meet on Sunday 10th june cruise over to Collinggrove.

I think Sunday's work better than Saturdays for people. Ideas? I'm only going from past cruises etc.

Would a meet every second month be alright? Like the last Sunday of every second month or something?
Every 4 weeks might be a little to often.

I'm up for a Sunday if I don't get left behind this time *whimper* LOL

On the upside, now Karl's done the belts, my car doesn't squeak every time I plant my foot, which is nice!

And yes Ric, there is some nice routes between the city and over that way... went for a drive out in that direction on the weekend. Almost got flattened by a WRX doing 130km/h in a 80 zone, and then got to the 100 zone and got stuck behind some old guy in a ute that didn't want to go faster than 60...

I work every Sunday so I'd only make it if it's at night (6pm or later meet), although if I can't make it it doesn't matter, I live away from most you guys anyway :(

Taylor your last "planned" route was super boring, no one here likes going on long straights for 2/3 hours. Which is why we went with the rsliberty route. There are lots of decent bendy roads around.

Well I'd be in for 20 May - would be good to meet some of you guys. Just give me a place and a time and I'll be there.

I've never been to a hillclimb so I wouldn't say no to heading along to that, too, just to find out what it's all about and meet some more of you.

cheers,

bj

Ouch :(. Karl and I planned the last route for some more high speed action.

The next one is starting at the base of Gorge rd.

Did a run up Gorge Rd, then Tippet Rd out to the Barossa last weekend. Was good fun :)
