Yeah I've seen that display around too. The main difference between those and mine is that mine uses the Subaru Select II protocol, so you'll be able to get boost in PSI, and using free software you can also check for fault codes, clear them, log data, etc.

AFAIK Subaru are still using the SSM II protocol on their current models, so yes it will work. If it doesn't i'll refund your money anyway. Also, if you're in Sydney you can come around and try it in person.

Darren can you elaborate for me please on why your unit is better for our GT's?

I like the look of the Dashdyno, it looks more modern and the screen is easier to read, albeit only a bit more expensive.

The Dashdyno does read boost in psi as well.

I'm still undecided.

Installation takes a total of 15 seconds, it just plugs into the OBD-II port under the dash. No cutting or splicing of wires is necessary. The unit is around 120x60x20 (mm) in size.

It's up to you on which device you choose to use. As I said mine uses the Subaru SSM II protocol, so you can get some parameters on mine which I believe are not available on the generic OBD-II scanners. Check out the manual here to see how the display works, and what parameters and features are available.

Mine also has an RS232 slave module. This means that you can use free software programs to perform other functions like datalogging, fault code checking and clearing etc. As I said it's best to read the manual to see what it can and cannot do.

Would be good if you can confirm use on the latest CANbus ECU's on the 2.5ltr motors. I have already gone through the purchase and send back for refund process on another product that was supposed to talk to the new ECU's but doesn't.

Also I dont see intake air temp as a parameter and I believe the ECU provides this?

Final comment is its a pity it wont draw the graphs and analogue guages that many competitors do - big selling point.

Have you tried using a product that uses Select II instead of OBD-II? The reason why it only does bar graphs is because it doesn't use a graphic LCD module, only character.

I would say that if your car doesn's support plain old SSM II (Select II) then my display won't work either.

Would have thought that would be your domain to work out what models use which protocol - seeing as you are the seller and advertise the product works on Subaru's from 98 model onwards

I take it that means its untested on 07 models onwards?

To give Darren credit, he honestly can't be expected to know EVERY car that these will go into, with the tiny little changes etc on every new model of every type car.
