Hey Justin,

How long are they keeping your car to get it sorted?

Hey Bruce,

I told Danny to take his time and check everything he can.....but initially it's there for 1 week....also I'm awaiting parts from Adam ( Tuspeed ) for:

1/ TGV ( i think they are the AVO one's )
2/ TGV gaskets for intake & engine
3/ 160F Degree thermostat

Hopefully should arrive Monday?

Jaydece's Mini Development Project

Postby jaydece » Fri Apr 13, 2012 12:55 pm

Just got back from springy to check my AVO fuel kit and make sure nothing was missing ( as Bruce is missing some pro flow bits and pieces ) looks like Adam from tuspeed boxed mine correctly and missed those bits on Bruce's....anyway while there Danny told me he drove my car quickly this morning and commented:

1/ cold start seems to be not right
rough, unsettled and flat spots upon initial driving off

2/ flat spot / jerkiness while driving and under low rpm

all I can say is no comment.....

MAJOR UPDATE:

Where To Start? Well How About Burning My Car And Starting Again?.....I'm Seriously Over It......

Went and saw the car after work and the following problems have been found......READY?

1/ Engine mount bolts and fittings missing / never put on / came off due to not tighten properly...
2/ BOV hoses were connected/joined incorrectly ( to the turbo/engine )
3/ Oil Leak From Turbo ( Wrong type of hoses used around the car...one was used on the oil return for the turbo, the hose had become rock hard and brittle )
4/ Rear diff leaking severally...
5/ Coolant found in oil catch can ( suspecting it was wrongly connected, requires further investigating, good news....engine seems to be okay..no coolant mixed with engine oil...farken weird... )
6/ Dump pipe has been hitting steering knuckle ( kinda knew this already )
7/ Perrin intake pipe was fitted shite.....It was barely on....and has made a slight bubble and cut on the end of it
8/ Other misc issues at hand....
9/ Still AWAITING parts

There's more....but I forgot what they are now...that's how long the list is.....

Things To Be Looked Into:

1/ Danny wants to remove the turbo reducer on the turbo ( see's it as a restriction ) problem is the perrin intake pipe then wont match.....he has a plan...but not final yet...
2/ Modifying TMIC pipe going into throttle Body ( making a special type of clamp / fitting to prevent it blowing off once I run higher boost )
3/ Might be upgrading fuel pump to something in the 300 LPH region
4/ Will investigate rear diff leak around oil breather ( danny has a plan....but not yet )
5/ Dump pipe will be modified to fix it hitting on the steering knuckle
6/ Oil catch can will probably remain where it is now and FPR will be mounted in the middle where TMIC used to sit....not final
7/ Custom make intake pipe ( through scott / springy......this is my plan....but not final...
8/ Other misc idea's and fixing plan in the works...

Will visit tomorrow and hopefully see these parts arrive.....also look into more details of each problem...and solve them as best as possible....

I'm going now to drink like a fish, punch something and call it a night..... :alcoholic:

So sorry to hear about your car. Certainly puts in perspective the minor crap I've experienced.

Hang in there mate, it will soon be over and you'll have that big grin back with some big power.

Justin mate I'm sorry to hear the shit you're going through with this car man

That workmanship is downright negligent and disgusting. I'd be gping back to them and giving them a spray fuck that for a joke

Hopefully these springy guys know their stuff and won't have you holding your dick in your hand again

Once there you will have a beast of a car man just be patient and resilient

Good luck mate

Thanks Mick,

I'm totally gutted at the moment......angry, relieved and on the edge atm...mixed emotions as they say...

Really don't know what to say?.......If I go and give them a spray I wont gain anything except getting into a fight or going to jail.....I'm really fuming....Probably need to calm down, gain my composure and sort out all these problems.....enjoy the bloody thing for once......THEN....MAYBE THEN...I will pop by with some of my "mates and friends" as witness ( just in case ) and speak a few words.....the term VENTING comes to mind....

Springy performance: so far 110%....there's no farking lie there! I was there from 2.45pm - 3.30pm? Danny and Daniel though VERY busy, dropped everything and went through the car with me....one by one...gave me some advice, listened, communicated and shared knowledge...

The other joint which I shall NOT name.....didn't do any of that what so ever!

Well the positive side of this is now we have identified major problems ( worked out why my car is pinging at 18psi for example ) Danny quickly did say this car had a potential of 280kw atw + - ......granting all goes well.....

So let's get over this stage, move on, solve and take it from there.....

I'll be in touch people....

That's some fucked up shit. Post the photos in a dedicated thread to document for the world the quality of their work. (unless Ric thinks that's a bad idea)
