8cm would be fine on your 2.5. Couldn't tell you when you would have full boost, but there is a heap of info out there about these things on 2.5s.
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.

haha go for the 440!

Im pretty happy with my performance now so anything more will be a bonus. I wanted to retain a quickish spool time with just a bit more mid/top end power. Now contemplating whether I should go FMIC or not.
Will get it installed and retuned probably around end of May/June in all likliness.

Then it will be on to some more cosmetics.

Any suggestions for FMIC, Injectors, Fuel Pump, Up pipe/headers, intake? Yes/No? types/brands, sizes? Most of this is still new to me, sort of learning as I go.

Well I've got a similar set-up to you and am getting the front mount done by Phat, unfortunately you don't have as immediate access to him so you can't get his custom pipework done! Maybe give him a call and see what he recommends? As for injectors, a few on here have gotten ID1000s, they are they ones I am getting as well as they were recommended to me.

Fuel pump and regulator: as with everything else the brand is debatable but a few on here have gone with the SARD combination, others have tried Walbro.

I would say no to headers as you'd usually do something like that if you are chasing a decent number, as yours is an auto we can't push for too much power as the transmission can't handle it!

Intake is dependant on whether you can handle the increase in noise 8)

Thanks rome, haha rub it in why dont you! Yer he did mention the ID1000s.

Speaking of intake noise, this is going to sound strange, but the other week I removed my resonator on the bottom of the air intake box and since then my car sounds like an emu strapped to a jet engine :p (it makes one deep whooping sound that resonates through the whole car on lift off) So im thinking its due to my new BOV somehow which is full plumb back. How have you got yours setup Rome as you have the same BOV as me. Have you done the resonator delete? I probably made it sound worse than it is but it is a weird sound, was thinking about either covering the hole or putting the resonator back on, or changing from full plumb back to half/half?

When I first did resonator delete I had that wooshing sound but was quieter. Then I did the Apexi power intake and there is a lot more BOV sound and breathing and sucking. Then I put the Greddy BOV on and it makes it a little more pronounced, and even with full plumb back I had flutter in low RPM ranges. If you are thinking about blocking off the resonator hole just from that then it definitely wouldn't be worth your while to get a pod filter as it would drive you insane. Just get a high flow filter like the HKS one instead that way you retain the stock intake box.

Yer i already have a high flow air filter and silicon pipe comming off the air box.

The sound isnt the sucking woosh that is annoying me its this deep gulp like sound that only sounds 1 time and lasts a second when I accelerate to about 4000rpm and lift of suddenly especially in 1st gear. Its hard to explain without hearing it for yourself. I dont mind intake/flutter or that pssssht bov sound but this is different to all of them. Is your RZ plumbed back? The only other way to explain the sound is you know those bumps/lines in the road they put in country roads to make drivers more alert (i assume thats what theyre for) and when you drive on them your car resonates, thats what it sounds like but for a second after lift off.

I think I know what sound you’re talking about, I used to get it in high revs when changing gears, particularly in tiptronic if I held the gear for longer without flat footing it, I thought there was something wrong with my car but since taking the PW intercooler off I’ve had the stock BOV back on and it doesn’t make that sound. Not sure what causes it but it could be related to the BOV?
