Heya crew,

My name is Tim and I'm looking to purchase a GT Spec.B in hopefully the not too distant future, I missed out on one already and I'm ideally after the charcoal colour however I don't want to spend over $25k.

The annoying thing is I've got a list of modifications already planned in the notes section of my iPhone. I'm currently rocking a 1999 WRX Hatch and it's quite a fun car around corners but I'm a big fella and I need more room. I just need to take the "whale" out of the Spec.B with some handling mods and I'll be happy.

I'll need to do some more searching about the car and it's features, specifically the thingymalacky for the SI / Sports mode. I'm also hoping to get the fuel economy down to 10L/100km, I think some mods and a retune might be best for this?

Anyways, I've got some reading to do however if you've got any good links you can recommend post them up.

I don't think I'm ever going to see 10l/100 in mine though. The mods and tune that would have given me some nicer fuel economy just mean it's more fun to put my right foot further down more often.

I can get <= 8l/100 on the highway though. And that is driving normally, not trying to go eco.

Sure you can get better handling cars but it is definitely a nice car to drive with a few handling tweaks.
If you are going manual I would also suggest some tweaks to make the gear box feel nicer, like a short shifter and upgraded bushes or engine & gearbox mounts.

I average 9.0l/100km since taking ownership of the GT.B, thats after 10,000kms. Most of the kms are fwy traffic, much better than expected.
